I hope you all had a wonderful bank holiday weekend? Ours was spent at the incredible River Cottage Festival in the glorious Devon countryside, surrounded by beautiful nature, live music, incredible food and wonderful people with all the summer sunshine festival vibes! The stall was looking funky and spritzed up with a new hand painted sign and lots of gorgeous new journals, stationery items, prints and cards!
I had so much fun this weekend, met some incredibly lovely people, new customers, new friends and found out about some brilliant small businesses and makers that are making their stamp on the world! Next to me were the wonderful Antonia from Bunny Loves Jam and Chutneys, based on a small holding in Somerset, Fran doing her beautiful henna tattoos and selling her gorgeous handmade jewellery, and the lovely Sarah and Sue championing zero waste alternatives to wet wipes from old t-shirts, and upcycled old tents as bags! Such a joy to be surrounded by these wonderful ladies all weekend!
The ethos of the festival this year was very much celebrating the importance of staying clear of single use plastics, so the whole event was plastic free with all packaging being 100% recyclable and compostable - amazing! So you can imagine The Sunshine Bindery fit in rather well here with our biodegradable corn starch sleeves for all of our cards, prints and notebooks!
There was so much beautiful food, great music and lovely gentle, chilled and relaxed atmosphere over the whole weekend, just what you'd want for a bank holiday really. Plus, the weather was divine!
Hope you have had a wonderful bank holiday too!
