Hello there and welcome to our brand spanking new website! For those new to The Sunshine Bindery, it is a small independent creative business run by me, Mell, a one woman band and my wonderfully warm, bright orange home studio. This is where the magic happens! I specialise in earth friendly and delightfully joyful stationery, hand-bound journals, notebooks, illustrated greeting cards, art prints and gifts, all made using recycled, sustainable and UK sourced materials.
It truly is my dream to spread as much sunshine as humanly possible while I am on this Earth, whether that be through uplifting and heart warming greeting cards to spark a smile in a loved one going through a tough time, an encouraging art print to hang up on your wall to keep you motivated, or a hand-bound journal to scribble your innermost dreams and record those amazing adventures of yours!
I'm super inspired by being in the great outdoors, and can often be found spending weekends off walking, exploring the wild UK somewhere covered in mud with my wonderful partner, Jon. We are part way through converting our own campervan from an old minibus, which I cannot wait to take exploring with us! So a lot of my art work is inspired by our adventures together, being immersed in nature and generally falling more in love with life. Self care and living a slow, simpler life is a strong focus of mine too, as I believe deeply in using journaling, writing and creating as a vital form of self care and looking after ourselves mentally and emotionally. So you will see lots of all these wonderful things appearing within and around my art work, ethos and vibe here at The Sunshine Bindery!
